Dr Andy Veale (Principal Investigator)

Andy is the CEO at NZRSI. He practices as a specialist in Internal Medicine, Respiratory Medicine and Sleep Medicine. He was involved (with others) in establishing the first Polysomnography Sleep Laboratory at Greenlane Hospital 20 years ago. He now has 30 years' experience working in clinical trials, with 10 years as the lead investigator. With his he has been able to oversee more than 30 studies since the research unit began at NZRSI in 2008.

Dr Michelle Baker(Principal Investigator)

I am a GP of 30+ years and have been working in Clinical Research for 5+ years at NZRSI in addition to a small amount of GP work.

Working in clinical research has shown me the work that is involved in making new treatments available to patients. NZRSI research want to provide the opportunity for patients to participate in trials for treatments that are not otherwise available.
