At the New Zealand Respiratory & Sleep Institute, we provide specialist respiratory and sleep care alongside an active clinical research programme. Our doctors, physiologists, research staff and administration and business support colleagues all contribute to the care and experience we provide.
Meaningful work. Your work contributes to patient care, whether you are delivering clinical services, coordinating research or helping our clinics run smoothly.
A connected team. Work alongside colleagues with different areas of expertise in a specialist organisation where people know one another and each person’s contribution matters.
Flexibility where practicable. We consider flexible working arrangements within the requirements of each role and our patient services.
A day off on your birthday. We recognise your birthday with a day off to enjoy it.

Warmth. We welcome people and treat patients and colleagues with kindness.
Openness. We listen, communicate honestly and welcome questions and ideas.
Excellence. We take pride in our work, maintain high standards and keep learning.
Empowerment. We support people to contribute, build confidence and take ownership of their work.

Developing our people supports the quality of care we provide. At NZRSI, working alongside experienced colleagues offers opportunities to build specialist knowledge, share expertise and learn through clinical practice and research.
We encourage staff to discuss their career interests and development goals with their manager. Relevant training, professional development and opportunities to take on new responsibilities can be considered in line with the role and service needs.

Respiratory and sleep services. Our specialist doctors and clinical teams provide consultations, diagnostic testing and treatment support for people with respiratory and sleep conditions.
Clinical research. Our research team coordinates clinical studies and trials, contributing to knowledge and potential treatments in respiratory and sleep medicine.
Administration and business support. Our support teams welcome patients, coordinate appointments and keep the organisation running, supporting both colleagues and the people who use our services.
