Referral Process

There are different lung function tests that are carried out at NZRSI, so it is important that you see your general practitioner or specialist for a referral prior to booking an appointment.  An appointment cannot be made without a referral.  

Lung function tests are done every day of the week at our Greenlane clinic and scheduled days at our North Shore and Pukekohe offices. Some more specialised testing is performed only when we have a doctor on site. 
 
The referral process for either lab will be as follows:
 

• If your doctor has given you a referral you can email (reception@nzrsi.health.nz) or fax (09 6386022) the referral through to us.
• On receipt of a referral, a receptionist will call you to make an appointment. 
• The receptionist will outline the costs and time required for the test.
• A confirmation will be sent to you.
